The Balsillie School of International Affairs is pleased to announce that it will again hold a five-day International Law Summer Institute, in partnership with CIGI’s International Law Research Program, from May 28-June 1, 2018.

The program will be led by BSIA faculty member Dr. Neil Craik, Associate Professor of Law in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development at the University of Waterloo; and Dr. Sara Seck, Associate Professor of Law at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Throughout the week, CIGI’s International Law Research Program will provide guest lecturers who are experts in various dimensions of international law. Last year’s program included lectures Jaye Ellis, McGill University; Markus Gehring, Cambridge University; Brenda Gunn, University of Manitoba; Céline Lévesque, University of Ottawa; and Craig Scott, Osgoode Hall Law School.

This Summer School will be offered to students at no charge, as a way of providing an additional opportunity to engage and interact with experts in this field, and to delve deeper into the world of international law. Students who fulfil the requirements of the program will be given a Certificate of completion.

Applications to attend the Institute will be available in mid-March and successful applicants will be notified by April 16, 2018. More details will be available soon.
